People would naturally shudder at the thought of an impending calamity. Politicians, however, think that an impending calamity is an impending chance to showcase thier pro-people stance.
At the height of Typhoon Ondoy, no politicians were in sight. They were either too busy trying to secure themselves and the rest of the members of thier families, or they are just busy preparing everything up that when the typhoon shall have left each would have be ready with their political gimmickry.
Politicians welcome calamities. Calamities are chances of showing thier " CaRe" for the people. Eventhough some thinks that this is only for a time being. Neverthless, calamities give politicans chances " to manifest" their "care", their " love ", their charitable prowess and the opportunity to let the people see their ( politicians ) " REAL " selves into casting thier votes for them should election time comes.
Program of governments in politicians are not anymore looked at by people. It is the politicans' capability to " shower the people their care when care is needed " , that counts most.
People look at the capabilities of the politicians' pockets when people demands help from them.
Calamities are showers of blessings for politicians, therefore!!!
..... are politicians people? if they are, then calamities would wreak havoc in their minds and hearts and their pockets!
