Election related murders are nothing new in the philippines. Filipinos are noted for that. The world over.
Election in the Philippines has never been an exercise of freedom to choose but " FORCED TO CHOOSE ". Its is because, no matter how lowly a government elective office are in a province, the politicians is always open for violence. Thus, private armies abound. And if a politcian is beholden to the powers that be most likely, the politicians roam freely with a platoon or more tagging along.
After long years of political gimmickry with each other and trying to outdo the other party po;iticians naturally have to resort to violence to intimidate the other party.
The Maguindanao Massacre is a weapon for intimidation. If this goes unchecked, WORLD WAR III would start from there!
